What is DNS Record Counter ?

The DNS Record Counter is a simple tool designed to help you analyze a list of domain names and count the occurrences of different DNS record types within the list. It's particularly useful when you have a list of domains and want to quickly identify the distribution of DNS records.

How to Use ?

To use the tool, simply enter a list of domain names into the textarea below, with each domain name on a new line. Then, click the "Count Records" button to generate a report showing the count of each DNS record type present in the list.

DNS Record Types:

A (Address) Record: Maps a domain name to an IPv4 address.

AAAA (IPv6 Address) Record: Maps a domain name to an IPv6 address.

CNAME (Canonical Name) Record: Creates an alias for a domain name, typically used for subdomains or domain aliases.

MX (Mail Exchange) Record: Specifies the mail server responsible for receiving email messages on behalf of the domain.

TXT (Text) Record: Stores arbitrary text data, often used for verifying domain ownership or providing additional information.

NS (Name Server) Record: Specifies the authoritative name servers for the domain.
